SUPPORTING HOLLOW CUT COLUMB STEMS
WITH TURNOVER CUT RIMS
ALL HUNG WITH LONG CUT GLASS RULE DROPS
HEIGHT 12 INCHES
DIAMETER 6.5 INCHES

JOHN BLADES 1783 -1829
John Blades established his chandelier and glass show room at Ludgate Hill in 1783 . He worked in collaboration with the architect J.B Papworth who designed the now famous Blades trade mark rule drops . Papworth described them as being "full of prismatic beauty" John Blades became cut-glass maker to King George III .
